 Mandatory 15 days Academic Programme

So immediately after registration, look out for the dates in which your chapter is providing these Academic Programs. Get yourself registered immediately as there are limited seats available in each chapter for each session.  However, this doesn’t restrict you from undergoing this Academic Programme from other chapters across India. You can choose as per your convenience without exceeding the below mentioned deadlines.

The break-up of 15 days Academic Programme exposure is as under: 

Name of program When to undergo?
2 days Induction within 3 months of passing Executive program or within 2 months of commencement of their 15 months/1 year/2 years training, whichever is earlier.
3 days e-Governance After successfully completing 2 days Induction, but within 3 months of passing Executive program or within 2 months of commencement of their 15 months/1 year/2 years training whichever is earlier.
5 days Skill Development After completing 2 days Induction & 3 days e-Governance but in any case within 7 months from the passing of Executive program
5 days Entrepreneurship Development after completing 2 days Induction, 3 days e-Governance & 5 days Skill Development but in any case should be completed atleast 3 months prior to the completion date of their 15 months/1year/2 years training

Eligibility for appearing in exam under new and old syllabus

  1. The first examination of the Professional Programme under the new syllabus shall be held in June, 2019.
  2. Candidates registered effective from 1st September, 2018 shall be examined under new syllabus.
  3. Candidates registered prior to 1st September, 2018 will be permitted to appear in the Professional Programme Examination under the old syllabus upto and including June 2020.
  4. Candidates registered prior to 1st September, 2018 will be permitted to appear in the Professional Programme Examination under the new syllabus if they so opt. The last examination of the Professional Programme under the old syllabus shall be held in June, 2020.
  5. From and including December 2020, Professional Programme Examination shall be held under the new syllabus only.

  3. Drafting, Pleadings and Appearances

Module – 2

  1. Secretarial Audit, Compliance Management and Due Diligence
  2. Corporate Restructuring, Insolvency, Liquidation & Winding-up
  3. Resolution of Corporate Disputes, Non-Compliances & Remedies

Module – 3

7. Corporate Funding & Listings in Stock Exchanges

8. Multidisciplinary Case Studies (The examination for this paper will be open book examination)

9.2 Insurance– Law & Practice

9.3 Intellectual Property Rights– Laws and Practices

9.4 Forensic Audit

The old syllabus for CS Professional Programme comprised of 9 papers too . The old syllabus had been in effect since 2013. The subjects under the Old syllabus are:

  1. Advanced Company Law and Practice
  2. Secretarial Audit, Compliance Management and Due Diligence
  3. Corporate Restructuring, Valuation and Insolvency

MODULE 2

  1. Information Technology and Systems Audit
  2. Financial, Treasury and Forex Management
  3. Ethics, Governance and Sustainability

MODULE 3

  1. Advanced Tax Laws and Practice
  2. Drafting, Appearances and Pleadings

Electives(Under Module 3) 1 out of bellow 5 subjects

  1. Banking Law and Practice
  2. Capital, Commodity and Money Market
  3. Insurance Law and Practice
  4. Intellectual Property Rights – Law and Practice
  5. International Business-Laws and Practices

Training

Duration of training under modified training structure

  • Three years on registration to Executive Programme; or
  • Two years after passing the Executive Programme; or
  • One year after passing the Professional Programme

MSOP(Management Skill Orientation Programme)

Eligibility criteria for the SMTP/MSOP is given below: –

  1. i) Passed final/ professional examination
  2. ii) Completed Academic Programme

iii) Have completed 15 months of training period or 14 being exempted there from
